I mainly wanted to try a different shape. The recessed centre feels cradling when I lie on my back.

I like to spend a few minutes reading before bed. The shape feels unusual at first, but I like the feel of the fabric.

It feels different from my old pillow. I would have liked to compare the heights before choosing: it really is a matter of preference.

Materials and care
Our pillow has a polyurethane memory foam filling and a polyester cover. Cover removal, machine washing, wash temperature and drying instructions are not yet confirmed for this model. Check the care label before cleaning; do not machine-wash, soak or tumble-dry the foam without explicit instructions.
How do I choose the right pillow height?
Start with the height that lets your head and neck rest naturally. Your shoulder width, mattress and sleeping position affect the fit. Try each side without forcing your neck into position.

What you want on waking:
a more comfortable neck.
Open your eyes and think about the day, rather than your neck. After a night spent turning your pillow over, that is often what you hope for. Finding comfortable support at bedtime, then getting up feeling more at ease: that is the comfort you are looking for.
You would like to get up, open the curtains and have your first coffee without starting by trying to loosen your neck. Merylou offers a different kind of support for your nights. How comfortable it feels is personal and depends on how you like to sleep.

Support designed
for the way you sleep.
Your head and neck do not rest in the same place. Merylou gives them distinct zones: a recessed centre for the head, raised edges beneath the neck and cut-outs near the shoulders. The sculpted shape offers several points of support.
Whether you sleep on your back or your side, these raised contours provide support while the memory foam follows your shape. This combination sets Merylou apart: a pre-shaped design with a cradling feel. Your comfort still depends on your position, shoulders and mattress.

The support of an ergonomic pillow.
With added softness.
A neck support pillow does not need to be hard to support your neck. Merylou combines an ergonomic shape with memory foam for a comfortable feel, night after night.
Frequently asked questions
Comfort, washing, warmth and getting used to a new pillow: practical answers before you choose.
What makes this pillow different from a flat pillow?
Merylou has a recessed centre for your head, raised edges at two heights and cut-outs near your shoulders. These contours give your head and neck separate areas of support. If your current pillow feels too high or too flat, compare how each height feels on your own mattress rather than choosing by shape alone.
Can I use it on my back or side?
The centre and side areas let you try both positions. On your side, look for a height that fills the space between your head and mattress without tilting your head up or down. On your back, your chin should not be pushed towards your chest. Turn the pillow around to try the other height; shoulder width and mattress softness affect the fit.
How long does it take to get used to it?
A contoured pillow can feel different from a flat one, and there is no set adjustment time that suits everyone. Start by trying each height while lying in your usual position. Your neck should feel supported, not pushed or strained. Do not push through pain to get used to it: stop using it if it makes symptoms worse, and seek medical advice if pain persists.
Will it feel hot during the night?
How warm a pillow feels depends on your bedding, room temperature and how you sleep. We have not verified cooling performance for this model, so we cannot promise that it stays cool or uses open-cell foam. If you sleep warm, use a lightweight, breathable pillowcase and avoid layering thick covers over the pillow.
Can I wash the cover and the foam?
Treat the cover and foam as separate parts. We have not yet confirmed whether this cover is removable or machine washable, or the correct wash temperature and drying method for this model. Check the care label before cleaning. Do not machine-wash, soak or tumble-dry the foam without explicit care instructions. Use a separate pillowcase to help keep the pillow clean between washes.
Do the duo and trio really cost less?
Yes. Two pillows bought separately at £49.99 cost £99.98: the duo costs £89.98, saving £10.00. Three pillows bought separately cost £149.97: the trio costs £119.98, saving £29.99.
Will the memory foam feel too firm?
Memory foam gives a different feel from loose fibre or feather filling: it moulds under pressure rather than fluffing up. The raised areas may feel more noticeable if you are used to a soft, flat pillow. We do not have a measured firmness rating for this model, so we cannot promise a soft or firm feel. Try both heights and judge whether your neck can rest without strain.
What if it is not comfortable for me?
You have 60 days to request a return. Keep your order details and check the full return conditions before ordering, including whether a used pillow is eligible, who pays return postage and how refunds are processed. Those details are not yet specified in this preview. The 60-day period is not a guarantee of comfort or pain relief.
Will it help with neck pain?
A pillow that suits your sleeping position may feel more comfortable, but Merylou is not a treatment and we cannot promise pain relief. The aim is to let your head and neck rest without being forced up, down or sideways. If pain persists, gets worse or comes with tingling, numbness or weakness, seek medical advice rather than relying on a new pillow.
